Re: User Interface Mock-up

A) Under Basic/spending - you have both "Historical CPI" and "Constant Spending Power" - I think these are the same thing, right? So eliminate "Constant..."? I see you added "% of Portfolio", which I forgot, good catch! Actually, they are sort of the same, bu...

Re: User Interface Mock-up

Looks like the validation AND sending to a tab are possible. More/different type of code though. Go check out http://www.cfiresim.com/beta2/input.php It's my first crack at a new interface. WARNING: don't click submit. I haven't rearranged the variable names for the simulator, so it likely will not ...

Re: BUG: INFL ADJ for RECURRING PORT ADJ crazy result [FIXED

I think you said you did this to help in your de-bugging, and plan to go back to a separate tab/window for output? I think that would resolve this anyhow, and it is preferred format for me. -ERD50 Well, there are a couple of "behaviors" that you can assign a form like this. You can tell i...

Re: BUG: INFL ADJ for RECURRING PORT ADJ gives crazy result

Fixed this. After looking at the debug chart, it was pretty clear that the inflation was getting exponentially added to the adjustment. I fixed this in beta only, currently, because I am in the middle of updating the UI of the alpha version.

TestString not working with Recurring adjustments[FIXED]

In reproducing another bug, I noticed that the TestString doesn't actually contain information about Recurring Portfolio Adjustments or One-Time adjustments.

Re: BUG: INFL ADJ for RECURRING PORT ADJ gives crazy result

Hmmm. Noted. I'm trying to rework the UI to your mock-up (which was excellent) and it's very tedious. Next time I get to work on the site, I'll look at this recurring adjustment with inflation issue.

Re: User Interface Mock-up

Also, as I'm actually implementing these UI changes, I've noticed something. In the Income/Savings/SS/Pension Inputs section, You've got the COLA'd checkbox and a Constant % checkbox. Are those mutually exclusive? "COLA'd", to me, means adjusted (period). If you were to unselect COLA'd and...

Re: Cfiresim crashes mobile browser

So, I was able to load it in my phone's browser, but the graph didn't come up. This jives with my most recent discovery: The graph library I use is a major memory hog... ESPECIALLY if you run a simulation, go back to the form, run a new one, etc. It's taking up a ton of memory. I need to either look...

Re: User Interface Mock-up

Bottom line, the 'investigate spending/portfolio' should take into account all entries other than the associated initial spending/portfolio entries. Makes sense, right? Like, 'hey, I've got SS, a pension, I've got some money coming in in ten years, etc - how big of starting portfolio do I need for ...

Re: A 1/30th WR does not go to zero - market @10% & infl @ 1

I do not believe this is a bug, I believe you're just digging deep enough to fully understand how Firecalc (and now cFIREsim) work. Check this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3ZCadE3qiVNbndWeVRVUlJWSTQ/edit?usp=sharing . The first example is how you expect things to work. Year 1, Spend...
