Re: SUGGESTIONS: Graph formatting

I'll check out all that you pointed out. I will say that cfiresim will never show exactly the same results as firecalc. In my reverse engineering, I found that Firecalc is missing some data for whatever reason (for a 30yr sim, I get 113 cycles, they get 111.), among other small intricacies. Again, I...

Re: SUGGESTIONS: Graph formatting

Thanks for the considerations. Regarding the ability to see individual lines: I'm not so sure this would be THAT useful. Just like in FireCalc's graph, you don't necessarily want to follow individual lines, it's more what the whole picture says. Actually, I have some very specific reasons to reques...

Re: Test String is quirky

I have a suggestion. Since the test string is already pretty much greek to an average person, there's little value in trying to preserve its editability for the public. And it will only grow longer and more complex over time anyway. .... If you've avoided that hassle so far, then setting up a datab...

Re: SUGGESTIONS: Graph formatting

Much better! Minor, minor, minor point - the numbers can be a bit tough to read if they pop up over a bunch of lines. Maybe less transparency or something might help? Again, minor, just something to note. -ERD50 No worries. I played around with it, and it seemed like changing the background color a...

Re: SUGGESTIONS: Graph formatting

Updated the graph. Took away the "shadow" attribute that made it blurry. Increased the line thickness. Made the chart (and the whole page) bigger. And.... added a nifty "highlighter", that shows you the data points that you hover over. With it being so busy of a chart at the star...

Re: Retirement Year in the future not override spending [FIX

This issue was fixed in the 7-14-2013 release. Now, as intended, if you set a retirement year for the future, and set a spending level in the Basic Inputs section, it will calculate 0 for your spending for the years leading up to retirement, then will use your inputted value.

Re: Test String is quirky

Yeah, Test input seemed to be working for me. I wonder if my issue before was some weird browser caching or something. NExt time it happens, I'll try on multiple browsers. Listing this issue as [FIXED] until someone reproduces the issue.

Re: Advanced Spending Input not working [FIXED]

I think that I fixed this. The new version should be working correctly with the advanced spending input. I just checked it out. Hopefully someone can verify.

I have a suggestion. Since the test string is already pretty much greek to an average person, there's little value in trying to preserve its editability for the public. And it will only grow longer and more complex over time anyway. Instead, you could store the test strings on the back end and bind...

Re: SUGGESTIONS: Graph formatting

Yeah, jqplot has a lot of options. Though, to be honest, I want to get most of the other functionality stable before I start messing with fancier graphing plugins ;)
