Re: SUGGESTIONS: Graph formatting

I mentioned some of this in a PM to bo_knows, will add here with a few other points for reference: 1) I like the new output with a separate line for each starting year, very clever and informative. But this might be confusing for people coming from FIRECALC (it threw me for a minute). I'll suggest ...

Advanced Spending Input not working [FIXED]

This isn't working since the change from 2 pages to 1.

Will resolve this weekend.

Test String is quirky [FIXED]

If I run a simulation, copy the test string, and paste it directly back into the form... it works. For some reason, copying/pasting from a forum (I was copying from the MMM forums) is giving me an output page of $0. I still think there are some overarching issues from going from 2 separate pages (in...

Retirement Year in the future not override spending [FIXED]

The way it should work, is if you put a Retirement Year of 2020 and Spending of 40000, that it should not calculate any spending at all until you actually retire. Even if you use the Advanced Spending input section, it won't override.

That doesn't seem to be the case.

Re: REQUEST: Ability to Split off Mortgage

I suppose one could do this by putting in their spending except P&I, then adding an off chart spending for the amount of their P&I, non-inflation adjusted, but this would make it more explicit. Once I add in the login page, and query saving features, I am going to be adding a field in each ...

Re: consistent annual market growth

I totally agree. I just changed the method of sending the form variables so that it shows up in the URL. We can copy and paste them as test cases. I'll start up a new thread so we can list the cases. Actually, I take that back. I just changed it back to how it was. It seems like there is SO much da...

Re: consistent annual market growth

OK, it seems right now with a few basic inputs I've tried. But I got a really weird looking graph - it dipped way down for year 7, then stayed at $1M for the rest of the cycle. But I saw the problem in debug - a rounding error dropped the portfolio to $999,999.99 in year 7, and the auto-scaling of ...

Re: consistent annual market growth

Alright. 2 beers later, and this is officially the longest bug fix so far. Inflation sure is a bitch. Anyways, I worked out the problems with inflation for specific types of simulations. I think that I fixed it for everything, but please, any users online verify my fix (especially using the debug o...

Re: consistent annual market growth [FIXED]

I'm not sure this is fixed. I changed the following from defaults: Basic SPENDING - 0 FEES - 0 Spending/Portfolio Options Inflation Method: FLAT 3% Portfolio Options: Constant Annual Market Growth 3% If my mind is working today, I'd expect the 3% market to keep up in buying power with 3% inflation,...
